If there’s one thing we love at The Biltong Merchant, it’s getting out and about and meeting all our lovely biltong fans in person. And this year we’ve got a brilliant line-up of food festivals, markets, and events across the South Coast to do exactly that.
From buzzing food festivals to relaxed local markets, we’ll be popping up in some of our favourite spots throughout the year, bringing plenty of biltong - and some yummy samples, of course 😋
We’re kicking things off with The Big Eat Festival in Victoria Park, Southampton. This is exactly what it promises: a real celebration of great street food, alongside talented local musicians and a host of family entertainment. If you’re someone who loves trying new flavours and supporting independent producers, this one’s well worth a visit.
22nd - 24th May 2026 - The Big Eat Festival
Next up is the fabulous Southsea Food Festival, one of the highlights of the south’s food calendar. It’s always packed with incredible producers, street food, music, cookery demos and so much more. It’s an amazing event with a great atmosphere - the perfect place to discover something new, as well as stocking up on your favourites.
4th - 5th July 2026 - Southsea Food Festival
And then……It’s an exciting first for us - we’re going to be selling our delicious biltong at Victorious Festival! A huge Portsmouth favourite and a growing festival icon, Victorious is three days of live music, big crowds, and a real festival buzz, and we’ll be there to keep you fuelled with something a little different from the usual festival snacks. We’ll be based at the World Music Village, so look out for The Biltong Merchant flag and come and come say hi!
28th - 30th August 2026 - Victorious Festival
Later in the season, you’ll find us at the Romsey Show. This is a much loved traditional event with plenty to see, do, eat, and drink. It’s always a great day out and a lovely way to round off the summer season.

And in between all of these larger events, we’re regulars at the Love Southsea markets in Palmerston Road. These are some of our favourite days: a bit more relaxed, lots of familiar faces, and always a great chance to chat, sample, and stock up.
